8th Grade Families, mark your calendars now! 🚨🚨 In preparation for your child’s transition to high school, Dublin High School-Georgia is having a Rising 9th Graders Information Night on Sunday, February 5th at 3:00 PM in DHS’s Auditorium. Dublin Middle School, Irish Gifted Academy and families across our community are invited to attend.

This will be your chance to hear from a panel of experts - including students, teachers, parents and counselors - about their experiences at DHS. Plus, current Dublin High Schoolers will share what a day in their shoes looks like. You’ll also learn more about the course selection process, advanced courses, International Baccalaureate, dual enrollment, Option B and the various pathways offered to our Fighting Irish Family!

About Dublin City School

Dublin City Schools is a Pre-K through 12th Grade charter school system located in Dublin, Georgia serving the city and surrounding communities of Laurens County.  The town is centrally located within the state and is the county seat.  Located on I-16, Dublin is the midpoint between two of the state’s largest urban centers, Atlanta and Savannah.  Because of this central location, Dublin has become home to an assortment of industrial distribution centers and to other industries grounded in various technological advancements.

Serving approximately 2,300 students, DCS excels in many areas - outperforming state and national high achievement and success averages, winning academic competitions while excelling in the arts and earning multiple sports championships.  The district offers themed learning environments at the elementary level, high school course credits at the middle school level as well as International Baccalaureate, dual enrollment and trade certifications at the high school level.

Dublin City Schools offers complete school choice and program choice. Students attend one of five schools, an all-day gifted program of choice or our college and career.  Additionally, located within Dublin High School, Dublin City Schools is proud to have the only International Baccalaureate World School between Macon and Savannah.

Dublin City Schools was awarded the State of Georgia’s 2019 Charter System of the Year, and the district has consistently earned the Exemplary Board Status Award through the Georgia School Boards Association from when it was initially offered in 2015 to the present.  Like many smaller, rural districts, Dublin City Schools serves a diverse population with stark social, economic, and educational contrasts.

Our district boasts a 95.5%  graduation rate - which is especially impressive considering all students receive no-cost meals thanks to our participation in the Community Eligibility Provision.
